Adam Grainger, Agentic Risks Project Lead, Accomplish

Adam is an experienced risk manager who began his career at PwC before leading operational and regulatory risk functions in-house. His recent work focuses on information security for client experience data, including designing CX agents for investment firms and transforming ISO 27001 workflows. This led him to author the Enterprise-Wide Agentic AI Risk Control Framework as a not-for-profit service. Adam holds an MBA from London Business School and is an alum of Oxford University’s Artificial Intelligence programme.

Ali Celiker, Founder and CEO of BPX a Securities Marketplace

Ali is a financial markets entrepreneur with 27 years of experience across capital markets and FinTech. His mission is to accelerate the digitalisation of capital markets in the UK and globally, modernising financial market infrastructure to improve efficiency, transparency, and resilience. Ali has spent 11 years in front-office fixed income roles and 16 years building and scaling regulated financial technology ventures. He has launched FCA-authorised financial services, raised millions in venture capital, and taken products from concept to compliant launch.

Antony Slee, EMEA Sales Director, FundGuard

Antony Slee is responsible for leading FundGuard's business development initiatives across EMEA. Prior to joining FundGuard, Antony worked as a senior leader with some of the world’s leading financial organisations and technology solution providers, responsible for developing go-to-market strategies and execution in support of international business growth. Antony has successfully grown revenue in several geographic regions, with a proven track record of developing new business, as well as breaking into new markets/regions to develop new opportunities.

Ben Lucas, Chief Executive Officer, Amundi Technology

Ben serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Amundi Technology, a global leader in technology solutions for the Wealth and Asset Management industry. In addition, Ben is an Executive Committee member of Amundi Asset Management, a global leader in investments. Ben is also a trustee and board member of the Just Finance Foundation, providing them with advice and guidance in their mission to improve the financial literacy in children across the United Kingdom.

Catriona Kellas, International Legal Lead, Digital Projects, Franklin Templeton

She the International legal Lead for Digital Projects. Franklin Templeton is at the forefront of the industry in tokenisation, having launched the first blockchain-based ‘40 Act fund in the United States and, more recently, the first such UCITS in Luxembourg. Catriona leads the legal and regulatory support for all international projects (globally ex-US) involving digital infrastructure and digital assets, such as fund tokenisation, AI, asset tokenisation, and structuring digital asset-based products and strategies, including projects replicating the success of Franklin Templeton’s tokenised fund in Luxembourg, BVI and Singapore.

Caroline Abbondanza, CTO, Calastone

Caroline joined SS&C in 2025 to lead the GIDS global operating model and is now CTO for Calastone. She joined from Brooks Macdonald where she held COO and CTO positions. Caroline has held Group CTO roles at FNZ and Travelex where she led the technology, digital and change teams. Previously she has chaired the Investment Association technology forum.

Chris Cummings, CEO, The Investment Association

Chris Cummings is Chief Executive Officer of The Investment Association, leading the UK investment management industry since 2016. Previously he founded and ran TheCityUK as CEO for seven years. He sits on HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce, serves on the Board of EFAMA, is President of the International Investment Funds Association, and chairs the Just Finance Foundation.

Chris Mills, Managing Director, Business Development EMEA, Citisoft

Chris Mills is a Managing Director at Citisoft with over 25 years of sector experience. Prior to joining, Chris successfully led business development for Finastra’s global managed services business and KPMG’s UK investment management practice. He has also driven the global growth for leading system vendors including BlackRock Solutions and Charles River Development. Chris has deep expertise in data infrastructure, fintech integration, alternatives, and digital assets. 

Colin Bennet, Global Head of Marketing and Client Experience

Colin Bennett is responsible for global brand, group-wide communications, and global marketing strategy. With over 25 years in asset and wealth management, he specialises in integrating people, process, and technology to drive commercial growth and service excellence. A Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), Colin serves on the Advisory Panel for Engine, the Investment Association’s FinTech accelerator. He is a co-author of The WealthTech Book and holds an Executive Diploma in Digital Leadership from Warwick Business School.

Duncan Moir, President, 21Shares

Duncan Moir is President of 21shares. Prior to joining 21shares, Duncan ran the digital assets business at Aberdeen plc, and before that was a hedge fund portfolio manager, managing systematic and quantitative strategies. Duncan is an independent director of Hedera Hashgraph LLC. Duncan holds a Ba (Hons) in Economics from the University of Strathclyde, and is a CFA Charterholder and CAIA Charterholder.

Henry Bewley, FinTech Manager, The Investment Association

Henry Bewley is a tech-native leader with 14 years of experience driving innovation across the finance and tech sectors. As the manager of the Investment Association’s FinTech hub, Engine, he oversees a network of 100+ firms focused on solving modern industry challenges. Henry specialises in bridging the gap between high-growth startups and established institutions.

Derrick Hastie, Chief Technology Officer, L&G.

As the Chief Technology Officer for L&G, Derrick oversees all technology supporting the £1.2 trillion Global Asset Management business. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Technology, Change Delivery, Operations, and Security. Derrick leads L&G’s technology initiatives, including the largest global implementation of State Street Alpha’s platform. Before joining L&G, Derrick served as the Global CTO for Aegon Asset Management. He joined Aegon in 2017 from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was COO for the Multi-Asset and Quant teams.

Fern Watson, Manager of Emerging Tech and Research, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Fern Watson holds a PhD in Quantum Computing from Imperial College. In this role, she manages a team responsible for identifying and researching novel technologies that are impacting on the financial services sector, and using foresight methodologies to provide a basis for colleagues to think about how this might change in the future to inform our policy making or early regulatory thinking.

Gary Collier, Chief Technology Officer, Man Group

Gary Collier, Chief Technology Officer, Man Group. Gary Collier is CTO of Man Group, with responsibility for all technology and data science across the firm. This includes the front office technology underpinning Man Group’s investment decision making, our proprietary operating platform known as ROSA, and all other systems which support the broader enterprise. Gary was formerly CTO of Man Alpha Technology, and prior to this, CTO of Man AHL.

Gerrad Olisa-Ashar, Partner, Cyber Resilience & Governance, Cyberbridge Partners

Gerrad is a cyber resilience and governance leader who works with boards and executive teams on the decisions that shape operational resilience when cyber disruption becomes unavoidable. His experience spans information assurance, cybersecurity, and technology risk, with a focus on how cyber resilience underpins important business services, regulatory expectations, and real-world operating constraints.

James King, Head of Resilience, The Investment Association

James King is Head of Resilience at The Investment Association within the Policy, Strategy & Innovation unit. He leads work on operational resilience, cyber resilience and technology across the investment management sector, shaping guidance and convening industry discussion. James moderates the IA Talks AI series, bridging technical insight with practical implementation for firms.

James Palles-Dimmock, CEO, Quantum Motion

He is responsible for defining an IP, technical and commercial strategy for the business, developing silicon-based qubit architectures which are compatible with standard CMOS fabrication and has raised over £60m in grants and equity since inception. James has over 15 years of experience delivering products from early stage concepts through R&D programmes; developing, protecting and commercialising new semiconductor technologies, in particular during his time at Japanese electronics company Sharp.

Julia Streets MBE, CEO & Founder

Julia Streets MBE is the Founder & CEO of Streets Consulting, the business development, marketing and communications consultancy. She and her team advise a wide range of financial services and technology startups and scaleups, global organisations, key industry bodies and industry associations. They are particularly proud that most of their work is from recommendations and referrals by boards and investors, industry influencers, media and existing clients. Julia was awarded an MBE in HM The King’s 2025 Birthday Honours list for Services to Diversity and Inclusion in Entrepreneurship, particularly in the Financial Services and Technology Sectors.

Director of Innovation & Operations Unit and Engine, the Investment Association

John is responsible for the regulatory policy and FinTech work of the UK asset management trade body. The Innovation & Operations Unit aims to build the industry’s innovation capacity through IA policy development on technological change, DLT, crypto and AI, as well as promoting fund modernisation and supporting firms on operational policy including resiliency and cyber security.

Jonathan Legh, Executive Director, UKQuantum

Jonathan Legh-Smith is Executive Director for UKQuantum, the association for the UK’s quantum industry. Jonathan is also a member of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme Strategic Advisory Board, the National Quantum Computing Centre Strategic Advisory Committee, UK coordinator for the NATO Transatlantic Quantum Community Industry Network, NPL’s Quantum Strategy Board and co-chair of the UK’s Responsible Quantum Industry Forum. Jonathan was awarded an MBE for services to science & technology in 2024.

Josh Gravett, Consulting Director, Unit42, Palo Alto Networks

osh is a Consulting Director with Unit 42's Preparedness Team, specialising in helping organisations prepare people processes and technology for cyber crises. Josh uses his deep understanding of cybersecurity and business resilience to ensure that every engagement not only mitigates risks but also supports organisational goals.

Dr. Jochen Papenbrock, EMEA Head of Financial Technology

Jochen is EMEA Head of Financial Technology and member of the global FSI leadership team at NVIDIA. He has spent the last 25 years in various roles on the topic of AI in financial services. He works with executives, data scientists, developers, and partners in the global NVIDIA ecosystem. Jochen is a financial data scientist and received his degree and Ph.D. from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Before NVIDIA he worked as a consultant, entrepreneur, and researcher with asset managers, banks, insurance companies, and central banks.

Lucy Walker, Founder & CEO

Lucy Walker is a founder of the award-winning fund data platform AM Insights, transforming how fund data informs decisions in asset and wealth management. AM Insights was on the IA Engine's Innovator programme in 2024 and growth has since been significant, with clients today including Schroders, Evelyn Partners and AJ Bell. Lucy is former head of fund research and fund manager at Sarasin & Partners, where she advised on over £1.2 billion for clients. Lucy also serves as Chair of the Aurora UK Alpha investment trust and has been regularly featured in publications including the FT.

Lawrence Baker, Policy Adviser, The Investment Association

Lawrence combines a policy focus on stewardship and corporate governance with a hands-on approach to digital transformation. As co-chair of the IA’s AI Sandbox, he champions the adoption of AI-enabled tools to enhance the efficiency and consistency of advocacy work. Lawrence has designed custom AI agents for committee management and developed the IA's operating model for AI-enhanced policy research. Bridging his technical work with his policy expertise, he recently moderated a discussion on AI governance and safety at the 2025 Talking Tech industry forum.

Matt Weaver, Head of Solutions Engineering, EMEA, OpenAI

Matt Weaver is the Head of Solutions Engineering, EMEA at OpenAI, where he leads a specialist team dedicated to helping organizations—from universities to startups and to the world's largest enterprises—unlock the full potential of OpenAI's models and products. With a deep background spanning AI, engineering, and financial services, Matt brings a value-focused, hands-on approach to solution design and technical advisory in this rapidly moving space.

Maximilian Mckechnie, Global Market Strategist, J.P. Morgan Asset Management

Max McKechnie is a Global Market Strategist based in London. He is responsible for generating research-driven analysis on the global economy and markets, and communicating this to clients. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Asset Management Max spent 8 years as an officer in the British Army. He holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from Exeter University.

Mohammad Syed, Head Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management UK

Mohammad syed, Head Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management UK. Mohammad Syed (Mo) is Head of Private Bank and Wealth Management (UK&CD’s) at Barclays, rejoining the firm in 2025. He was previously CEO of Asset Management for NatWest Group and Head of Asset and Wealth Management at Coutts. With over 35 years of experience, Mo has held senior roles across Barclays, Sanwa International, and founded Axiom Funds Group, working with UHNW and institutional clients globally.

Sam Alexander, Country Officer and UK COO

Sam is the UK Country Officer and Chief Operating Officer for DWS UK and was appointed as CEO of DWS Investments UK Ltd in early 2025. Sam is responsible for oversight of DWS UK and its contribution to DWS Group corporate strategy. Alongside a focus on governance and operational matters, Sam is a keen supporter of talent and inclusion initiatives at DWS UK. Sam joined Deutsche Bank originally in 2011. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Sam held positions in operations and change management at Barclays Capital, Rabobank, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan over a period of 20 years.

Shruti Deb, Policy Lead, Innovation

As part of the Innovation Unit at the IA, Shruti works across a wide variety of projects that bring technology and finance together. Shruti has a keen interest in all things tech policy and is excited by emerging tech in the IM industry, particularly DIGIT and digital money including stablecoins. Shruti leads the Tech Policy & Innovation Forum that focuses on emerging technology including discussions around quantum.

Dr. Sonia Schulenberg, Chief Executive Officer, Level-E Research

Dr. Sonia Schulenburg is the founder and CEO of Level E Research, a pioneer in AI-empowered investing and autonomous asset management. With over two decades of experience and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, she has dedicated her career to building a fully autonomous ecosystem for the entire investment management process. Her visionary work has attracted over $160 million in funding and led to key partnerships with major financial institutions like Baillie Gifford, M&G and Aberdeen.

Siobhan Clarke, Head of Investment Services, RLAM

Siobhan has 30 years’ experience working in the investment management industry in technology, strategy, innovation, front office and operational functions, across Public and Private markets. Currently, she is Head of Investment Services at Royal London Asset Management, where she leads the Trading, Implementation, Portfolio Risk, Controls and Business Management functions. Previous roles include Chief International Operations Officer at M&G, responsible for building out their international expansion, and COO Fixed Income at Schroders. Siobhan was a member of the Bank of England “Future of Finance”

Sebastian Ricketts, Manager, Regulatory Sandbox & Innovation Pathways, DTI

He joined the FCA in 2022 and is Manager of the Regulatory Sandbox and Innovation Pathways team. His team plays a key role in delivering the FCA’s ‘Growth and Innovation’ Pillar of its new Strategy by supporting innovative firms to test their products and services within UK financial markets. Prior to this, Sebastian worked in the FCA’s International Division leading its Cryptoassets Strategy helping to shape and deliver international standards produced by the Financial Stability Board and International Organization of Securities Commissions respectively.

Suhaila Harji, Operations Director for Investments, Wellcome Trust

She joined in 2023 from PGIM Investments, where she was Chief of Staff for the international business. She began her career at JPMorgan Asset Management and later worked in senior strategy roles at Ignis Asset Management and Legg Mason. She went on to hold executive leadership roles at Merian Global Investors and PGIM Global Investors.
