The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in force for over a year now. Recent significant fines from the UK Information Commissioner (ICO) under the new regime have served to reinforce the message that companies need to take the privacy and protection of their customers’ personal data seriously. With regulatory scrutiny in this area only set to increase what can companies do to be confident that they are complying practically with the regulations?
