– How do you create a loyal workforce and culture of learning? How do you retain staff through training, career progression?
– How can you avoid common technology hurdles when expanding into new asset classes, products and markets?

Session choice 2: Trends in data: Alt data, platforms and sourcing

Agenda:

– Should you be building your own internal data platform?
– How to clean data effectively and stop bringing garbage in and producing garbage? What is your approach to cleansing symbology and metadata?
– What techniques do you use for effectively statistical analysis?
– How do you map and analyse data effectively using internal tools or external providers?
– How do you store data effectively and what do you store or destroy? What infrastructure do you need to store data?
– Is this the big moment for alternative data? How are firms analysing them today?
– What do you most use data for today? Alpha generation or investment ideas?
– Where do you source your data from today? Third-parties, internally produced, mixture of both?
