Organiser:
The AI Sustainability Breakfast is tailored to sustainability professionals seeking to advance their organisation’s use of AI in sustainability reporting, data management, and decision-making. We cover two key themes: how AI is being applied to unlock value from unstructured sustainability data, and how organisations can structure approaches to identifying, prioritising, and scaling AI use cases across sustainability functions.
Part 1: From Documents to Data: Unlocking Sustainability
This session explores how intelligent AI workflows convert documents into structured, governance-ready datasets that serve both human analysts and autonomous systems. Through real-world examples, we will demonstrate approaches for extracting sustainability and regulatory metrics from reports, enriching proprietary content for natural language querying, and automating metric collection across sources.
Drawing on live implementations, we will discuss the operational and governance considerations required to scale these workflows effectively including data quality, traceability, and API-driven delivery into enterprise sustainability and reporting processes.
Part 2: Decision Frameworks for Scaling AI in Sustainability
As organisations explore AI across sustainability functions, the key challenge is no longer experimentation, but decision-making: where AI creates value, how it should be prioritised, and how it should be implemented at scale.
In this session, we introduce a practical decision framework for AI adoption in sustainability, structured around three elements: assessing organisational AI readiness, prioritising and comparing sustainability-relevant use cases, and selecting appropriate delivery models across build, partner, and buy options.
