Join us for an exclusive breakfast seminar on ”Industrialising custom models and workflows” led by David Priest, the Head of Quantitative Modelling at Jacobi.

Custom investment processes are key to differentiating in the competitive asset management industry. Yet firms must often choose between expensive in-house technology development or an outsourced approach with limited customisation potential.

In this seminar we discuss a hybrid approach where managers industrialise their unique investment models and workflows in their private version of the Jacobi platform. This allows them to move beyond spreadsheets and locally-coded solutions to industrialise their investment processes and utilise them in engagement outside of the investment team.

In addition to the scale and governance benefits, including mitigating ‘end-user-computing’ risks, it also allows investment groups to lift the lid on their unique tools and strengthen their client engagement.

Key topics that will be covered:

  1. Navigating the ‘Build versus Buy’ Decision: Investment managers often grapple with the choice between resource-intensive in-house technology development and an outsourced approach that may limit customization options.
  2. Deciphering the Relationship between Modelling and Technological Challenges: Understand implications of segregating modelling challenges from technological complexities, and how this separation can positively impact your investment operations.
  3. Mitigating Risks and Enhancing Governance: Discover how investment managers can effectively mitigate the risks associated with end-user computing and deliver enhanced governance.
